Today marks 100 years since Frederick Banting, James Collip and Charles Best were awarded U.S. patents on #insulin. They sold the patents to the University of Toronto for a symbolic $1, with Banting famously saying: 💬 “Insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the world.”

1/2 You may have seen the Government’s plans to ban mobile phones from classrooms. If you have a child with diabetes, we understand this might be concerning, but there will be exemptions to the guidelines - including for children who need to use a phone to manage their diabetes.
