The Faster Labor Contracts Act is a vital first step in protecting workers' rights — but it cannot be the last. Ensuring workers get a timely first contract is only the first piece in a larger puzzle to level the playing field and protect workers' rights.

The Trump Admin is picking and choosing which Americans’ civil rights are worth defending, actively ignoring women’s and minorities’ discrimination claims. This is unacceptable. Americans deserve a government that will stick up for them—not abandon them.
Kenni Miller joined a class-action lawsuit by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, but the case was later dropped by the Trump administration.

A new report from @amprog confirms what Democrats have long warned: Trump's Big, Ugly Bill reduces access to free school meals. Families are already stretched thin. We must protect nutrition programs so kids aren't forced to learn on an empty stomach.

Congratulations to Princess R. Moss on her election as President of the National Education Association! She has spent decades fighting for public school students and educators in Virginia, a background that will serve her well as she leads the nation's largest teachers' union.

Today's less-than-stellar jobs report confirms what working Americans already know: the economy isn't working for them.   Trump's reckless economic policies are making life more expensive and holding back the economy.   📉 See the data here.

Black women's unemployment is skyrocketing — and the Trump Administration's reckless economic policies have only made it worse. We deserve policies that lower costs and create opportunities for all, not just the wealthy few.

From cutting staff to stripping the board of the ability to make decisions, the Trump Admin’s attacks on the NLRB have led to more dismissals of unfair labor practices, leaving workers without recourse.  And who benefits? Trump’s wealthy cronies.

The ability of kids to learn and grow is hindered when private equity controls and consolidates youth sports and drives up costs. We need antitrust enforcement and cost transparency.

Trump’s latest court loss confirms what we’ve said all along: President Trump’s politicization of the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program is a partisan, illegal attack on borrowers and the communities that benefit from their public service. Period.

One year ago, Republicans passed the largest cuts to Medicaid in history and refused to extend enhanced ACA premium tax credits. Today, Democrats are fighting to undo the damage of the “Big Ugly Bill” and advance bold ideas to lower health care costs. 🔗 youtube.com/live/V7rKw491X…
