Claude Shannon should have won a Nobel Prize - and his should be a household name. For one, computers and cell phones would not be possible without his Information Theory. Dr. Shannon and @EdwardOThorp used Newtonian physics to beat the game of Roulette...how cool is that?!

Claude Shannon on studying history (#1 of 2): "I don’t know how history is taught here in Japan, but in the U.S. in my college days, most of the time was spent on the study of political leaders & wars—Caesars, Napoleons, and Hitlers. I think this is totally wrong."
