    Today we’ve published performance levels for all 43 police forces in England and Wales under the new Policing Performance System. Developed with the @ukhomeoffice, @CollegeofPolice and other policing partners, it aims to strengthen accountability and support earlier improvement.

    Today @LincsPolice has been assigned Level Three under the new Policing Performance System. The force will be subject to increased oversight and receive bespoke support from @CollegeofPolice to help it improve.

    Level Three is for more serious or systemic issues. Forces develop formal improvement plans with support from across the system. Level Four (Special Measures) applies when performance failings are critical, with the highest level of oversight and accountability.

    We've published a report on @HMRCgovuk's counter-corruption arrangements. We found vetting processes didn't always stop unsuitable people gaining employment, but since our inspection HMRC has made positive changes to its governance arrangements.

    Today we have published our child protection inspection of @LincsPolice. We found the force requires improvement in three areas and is inadequate in two.

    We have closed the two causes of concern we raised about how quickly @CambsCops answers emergency and non-emergency calls and how quickly it attends incidents. The constabulary has made clear and sustained progress.

    Our latest inspection report for @ThamesVP has been published today. We found improvements in how it responds to the public and prevents crime. However, the force needs to improve how it safeguards vulnerable people and investigates crime.
