We have been deluged with flooding-related emergency calls since roughly 1500 hours. We have attended a large number of incidents and our highly-trained rescue teams are working extremely hard in these challenging circumstances. Updates in due course.

@HWFire have been very busy across the service today, so far we have attended 35 vehicles stuck in flood water with persons trapped, 7 False Alarms, 6 Flooded properties affecting electrics, 1 RTC, 1 House Fire and 1 AGA Fire - we have rescued a total of 87 people and 1 Dog...

We are still receiving calls to vehicles driven into flood water. Please do not drive through flood water, this puts yourself and others at risk. Check your route before travelling and if necessary use a safer, alternative route.

Apologies to our followers for the lack of our incident tweets, however we are still busy dealing with flood related incidents in our 2 counties. Reminder to please do not drive or walk into flood water and to isolate electrics if water enters your property #staysafe
