While visiting my parents over Thanksgiving, my father was eager to share something from Facebook that he thought was funny. It was a meme. That he had printed out. On paper. To show me. "I love a good Venn Diagram," he said.
Very happy to have it official: I'm leading a team of humanities professors @BucknellU who are developing a Health Humanities curriculum. We hope to bolster the liberal arts here while also engaging the local community. Grateful to @NEHgov for the support.
Today: @NEHgov announces $24.7 million in new #NEHgrant awards to support 208 humanities projects nationwide.
Grants will support #humanities initiatives at college campuses, innovative digital resources, infrastructure projects, and more: bit.ly/33plpgh
I'm presenting some current research on pharmacology and ritual here @ASCSAthens, hosted by the Gennadius Library, on March 8th at 7p (Athens time). It's titled: "The Residue of Eden: Myth and Medicine in Early Christian Anointing Practices." Zoom link!👇
