This morning, American citizen Tigran Gambaryan was released by Nigeria on humanitarian grounds and is now on his way back to the US to receive needed medical attention. We are grateful to our Nigerian partners and look forward to further strengthening our bilateral relationship.

The U.S. welcomes recent agreements to resume humanitarian access across the Adré border and along the Dabbah Road, allowing lifesaving aid to reach millions of Sudanese. We will keep working with our partners to further expand and accelerate emergency aid deliveries in Sudan.

The U.S. joined 22 countries in a statement & supported an @OAS_official resolution, adopted unanimously, in support of Venezuelan democracy. We urge Nicolas Maduro to accept the July 28 results & begin dialogue on a peaceful transition in accordance with the will of the people.
