Today my feed is 95% outraged screenshots of the changes that a certain person added to the wordpress.org login page, and 5% his employees arguing that he's changing the world through a crusade against the evils of private equity 😐
We recently tracked 4 sales ($406) from @perplexity_aiperplexity.ai, which has never happened before.
Hopefully AI-based product recommendations will be a big source of sales in the future 🤖📈
I agree with Maarten, this looks like a hostile takeover of ACF because existing users are being forced to use the forked version as soon as they update.

However, I’m still struggling to understand any of the legal arguments against WP Engine. I understand the moral point about how they “should” contribute -
Why would the leader of the WordPress project say something so disrespectful to one of the community’s top accessibility experts simply for highlighting some accessibility issues?

I had already seen other people's screenshots of the new checkbox but didn't know it was a required field 🤦♀️
I realize it's a joke, but this is a time to focus on making WordPress look professional and increasing confidence in it - this isn't the best way to do it.
