The trade war has mightily hurt farmers. To make matters worse, the US will dole out $46B in ag subsidies this year, making it harder to attack China for its massive ag & industrial subsidies. Reigning in China, Inc. was the purpose of the trade war, no?
The agriculture sector, which has been hurt by President Trump’s trade war and the pandemic, is expected to receive a total of approximately $46 billion in federal subsidies this year.
