Given the sad news about Andrew Stunell, one of the warmest, kindest people I have ever met, I wanted to share some memories. He was the kind of person you want on your team. Hard working, honest and kind. He helped me work out what it was to make a difference in public life.

Most important job of the first day in Parliament – writing to ther new Health Secretary with my colleague @ThomasMorrison MP about the state of Stepping Hill hospital. This must be treated with absolute urgency and immediate action taken, including visiting the site.

I have taken the decision to concentrate fully on my work as an MP, and step down as a local councillor for Bredbury Green and Romiley. It has been an absolute privilege to be the councillor for over 8 years. I have loved it & I look forward to carrying on my work as your MP.
