In 2016 my wife and I were on vacation (didn’t have children yet), I made fun of a father/son wearing matching shirts and said “it would take winning a National Championship for me to do that.” My wife has the memory of an elephant.
The end of a season is tough. Especially tough when you love your players. Incredibly grateful for what these players are all about and how much they mean to my family.
Wife’s birthday today. I called her and I told her she was the Justin Bench of wives…under appreciated but the MVP, willing to do anything to help the team win, doesn’t care who gets the credit etc. While she loves JB I’m not sure it was the best way to wish her a HBD. #champs

As a coach you get into this profession to make an impact on young people, and sometimes you become incredibly blessed when the young people actually make a far bigger impact on you.
The excitement level that I have to get @peytonchat5 back on the field is at an all time high. Mostly because we’ve got to get him out of the dugout. He has annoyed everyone in there. His default mode is to talk...a lot. 🤐
