American kids watched so much Peppa Pig during the pandemic that they developed British accents and started regularly using British words like “holiday” instead of “vacation,” confusing their parents. 🐷🐽
My first A-Hed for @WSJ with @Preetika_Rana:
BREAKING: Former Twitter employee Ahmad Abouammo was found guilty of spying for Saudi Arabia.
While working at Twitter, he searched up users who criticized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and shared that info with kingdom officials in exchange for $$$.
Some ~personal news~:
I’m excited to be @WSJ’s newest technology reporter in San Francisco. I learned so much from my colleagues this summer and am looking forward to continuing to work alongside them.

New: Across Silicon Valley, AI researchers are putting in 80-100 hour workweeks to keep pace with technological progress.
Several compared it to war, and one executive even joked that the new work schedule is "0-0-2," midnight to midnight with two hours off.
Scoop: Meta has poached three OpenAI researchers: Lucas Beyer, Alexander Kolesnikov and Xiaohua Zhai, according to people familiar with the matter.
An OpenAI spox confirmed the three have left the company.
From filing: “With the sense of humor of a bot, Twitter claims that Musk is damaging the company with tweets like a Chuck Norris meme and a poop emoji. Twitter ignores that Musk is its second largest shareholder with a far greater economic stake than the entire Twitter board.”
Personal news: I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted a new role at @WSJ covering Meta full-time.
I’ve covered the company on and off since joining WSJ’s tech bureau three years ago and am eager to dive in with all my attention.
Send tips and let’s grab coffee!
