The engine of democracy is the competition of ideas.
The best ideas percolate to the top and become policy.
The silencing of majority views by a minority is authoritarian & damages that democracy.

The EU is trying to impose hate speech legislation onto Ireland.

My mam provided an invaluable service by being a stay-at-home mother.
But there is no value placed on her contributions to society. She is classed as a 'dependent' and is further penalised through tax individualisation.
It's time we valued the work of stay-at-home parents.
