Axe the Fuel Tax. Labour want to raise fuel duty - during a cost of living crisis! Hardworking people & families will pay the price. After years without an increase under the @Conservatives, Rachel Reeves is hitting motorists hard. Today the Conservatives will demand a vote.

Andy Burnham must urgently control spending especially welfare and rule out further damaging tax hikes. We cannot afford more of the same from Labour. My words in today’s @Daily_Express 👇🏻

Rachel Reeves said growth was her ‘number one mission’. She has failed. Two years of higher taxes have choked the economy, and now Andy Burnham wants even more taxes to pay for more benefits. Starmer and Reeves may be on their way out but the problem isn’t just the Chancellor.

BREAKING: Andy Burnham has said he “might be having to ask for a little more” when asked about new tax rises. Burnham should be reassuring people about his plans but instead every time he speaks he fuels more speculation about a fresh tax raid. Rachel Reeves has already raised

This Labour government has been a complete failure. Inflation, unemployment, the national debt, the benefits bill - everything has gone in the wrong direction since Starmer and Reeves came in. Their terrible choices have cost our country dearly 👇🏻

The reforms we have set out to financial regulation would free up vast amounts of private capital for our economy. Labour’s answer? As always, just more government, more borrowing, more spending and more debt.

It sounds increasingly clear that Andy Burnham is planning another inheritance tax raid. All his team are willing to say is they won’t be hiking inheritance tax ‘in July’. If they cannot rule out more tax rises, we are in for another summer of damaging speculation as families

Rachel Reeves’ legacy will be one of unforgivable profligacy. She fiddled the fiscal rules so she could increase borrowing by a quarter of a TRILLION pounds across this parliament while claiming she is being responsible. Debt is expected to rise every year of this parliament -

I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news that the police are treating the death of Ann Widdecombe as suspected murder. Ann was a remarkable lady as well as a much-loved and respected constituent who made Devon and Dartmoor her home for many years. This is deeply distressing

Britain has been stuck with low growth for far too long. Andy Burnham’s answer is more government - he thinks he can spend, tax and regulate his way to growth. But that approach is what has got us to where we are. We don’t need more government - we need to unleash the power of

Labour are killing summer jobs - those vital first steps into the world of work for young people. We need to cut Labour’s employment red tape, scrap the restrictions on when and where young people can work and cut taxes for the businesses who employ them.

Everyone starts somewhere. Summer jobs give young people skills, confidence and a first step into work. That’s why we’re campaigning to protect them. We asked the Conservative Shadow Cabinet what their first summer jobs were. Their answers might surprise you 👇

Andy Burnham has previously called for an annual property tax. A tax raid on family homes would be an unfair tax on aspiration. Nothing is safe under Labour - they’ve raised taxes on jobs, savings, pensions, and now possibly your home too. The best way to reform property taxes

If you aren't working why can't you look after your own children? Why should working parents pay even higher taxes to fund free childcare for people on benefits? Labour are not the party of work, they are the party of welfare.
