Jun 16-19, JMOD conducted its 1st Japan-Canada WPS Maritime Security Cooperation Project in Manila, which was attended by 14 Philippines Navy. Through lectures by 🇯🇵🇨🇦 instructors and group discussions, participants gained knowledge to advance #WPS in their activities.

The activity of a Russian Navy vessel in the waters surrounding Japan. At around 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2026, JMSDF spotted RFN Steregushchiy-class FFG x 1 (hull number 335) sailing eastward in the waters approximately 70 km northwest of Rebun Island.
