The placement of a replica mosque on the Moygashel bonfire is a sickening and cowardly act of intimidation. This is not about tradition, and in no way does it represent the vast majority of people in Northern Ireland. We must stand united and completely reject such hatred.

It was an honour to pay my respects at the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. Each year these events become more important to me on a personal level. Men from across the UK, Ireland and our allies stood against evil so we could be free. We will remember them.

The NIO has marked the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme in 🇫🇷 today. Minister @Matthew_Patrick, represented the UK Government, attending the Royal British Legion service at Thiepval and the Somme Association services, both at the Ulster Tower and at Guillemont.
