HOAX ALERT: A news story blaming White House immigration policies for causing more than 20 homeless veterans to be booted from their temporary shelters turns out to be an elaborate hoax.
The measure, sponsored by Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, would require federal approval before companies linked to China could acquire land near U.S. bases.
“Secretary Wilkie and several members of his executive staff violated the trust of a fellow veteran who came forth with serious allegations of sexual assault,” said Veterans of Foreign Wars Executive Director B.J. Lawrence in a statement Friday night.
