Not only did @Sydney_Uni allow the Zionist event tonight justifying Israel's genocide in Gaza, they chose to host the whole show, with its serving & former IDF members, in the main admin building. Rubbing the nose of every Palestinian in their support for genocide. Disgusting.

Wonderful to see a Palestinian flag flying from my building at Sydney Uni after the much-publicised removal of a different one yesterday. Abhorrent that the VC and Dean are willing to ban this solidarity with Palestinians. Hard to be employed by these people.

Not usual for pepper spray to be used by the police in Sydney but it was just sprayed in big quantities over antiwar protesters outside the arms expo at Darling Harbour. Riot cops beside themsleves with excitement at having been released from their pens.

We learned last week, and it's public today, that Sydney Uni management has decided to ignore the overwhelming opposition of its Arts and Social Sciences staff and abolish the faculty's departments. 1/8.
