I'm a wheelchair user and I'm so fucking tired of people leaving these bikes and scooters wherever they want. For able bodied folx it's an inconvenience but for me it means I have to walk out into a busy street to go around. These are my only safe paths. STOP DOING THIS
This is just a microcosm of a bigger issue I'm not quite sure how we solve which is: folks collectively wanting better community while simultaneously not wanting to interact with people in any way that isn't completely on their own terms
Maybe it's just a midwestern thing, but can we please stop having the cashiers ask intrusive questions to the patrons as they check out?
Cashier: "Do you have any big plans for the rest of the evening?"

Please don't use disabled people like this. If I die and y'all show people a picture of me in my wheelchair like "his legs couldn't work but he kicked life in the ass every chance he got!" my ghost will haunt your whole family forever. Just say I was a good dude and pour a 40.
Show your kids this picture. Ask them what type of life they think this man lived.
Then tell them he couldn't write, but wrote a New York Times best seller.
