The "NYC housing crisis isn't caused by lack of supply" crowd is the economic equivalent of flat-earthers. NYC added 800k people since 2000 but just 200k housing units. Even an 8-year-old understands this math doesn't work.
Is this really about safety or authoritarian control by anti-car legislators? They exude disdain for outer-borough residents who must drive to efficiently move about their daily lives. Do we think they'll stop at 20mph ... "every 5mph cut save lives".

Iceland has no army, a booming economy, some of the cleanest water and air anywhere in the World, violent crime is rare, one of the lowest crime rates in the world, and they even jailed their corrupt bankers.
