2003: @AmaniAToomer was thought of as a returner w/ only 17 receptions in his 1st 2 seasons. However, he would explode when Collins took over at QB for #NYGiants & from 1999-2003 he'd average 75 catches/1146 yards & put up 127 yards in NYG 31-28 OT win over Jets #TogetherBlue

Quick basic assessment of my fifty years on this planet: Up to age 27 I said and did a lot of stupid stuff. Didn't drink for 10 years and on rare occasions now only have a beer or two. 27 to 50 I said and did a lot less stupid stuff. Liked 27 to 50 a helluva lot better.

1999: HBD @RealKCollins5 turns 50. In the first 300 yard passing game for #NYGiants since @PhilSimmsQB in 1993, Collins torched the Jets for 341 yards. @AmaniAToomer hauled in 3 TDs for 181 yards including this 80 yarder to put the game away in 41-28 NYG win #TogetherBlue

2002: Normally flea flickers are thrown near midfield, but that's not what Fassel chose to do w/ #NYGiants starting 3Q at Indy. @TikiBarber threw back to @RealKCollins5 who uncorked an 82 yard TD pass to @AmaniAToomer, one of 3 TDs Toomer had on the day. #TogetherBlue

2002: In a "Win & In" matchup in Week 17, #NYGiants outplayed Philly all game, but trailed 7-0 in 4Q until @RealKCollins5 lob to @JeremyShockey, who jumped up to snag this pass over Dawkins, as the crowd exploded tying the game up 7-7 which NYG would win 10-7 in OT #TogetherBlue

2002: HBD @JeremyShockey who turns 42. #NYGiants 1st rounder out of Miami in 2002, he added much needed fire to NYG. He won rookie of the year & his 894 yards was 2nd most for a TE in NYG history. A 4x Pro Bowler, he ran over Gibson on this @RealKCollins5 screen #TogetherBlue

2000: @PhilSimmsQB once said Jim Fassel was one of the best QB coaches he had, even late in his career. Madden showed how Fassel tweaked @RealKCollins5 technique & resulted in touch passes like this 34 yd TD to @RonDixon86 to put #NYGiants up in a 14-7 win @ Bears #TogetherBlue

Two great examples of why I loved throwing to Amani. He was big and physical with a large catch radius. He fought like hell for every ball and was excellent at making tough catches with DBs hanging all over him.
