Actually, you CAN enhance nuclear deterrence. Investing in modernization, diversification of delivery systems, signaling resolve, and resilient command & control makes it more credible and thus MORE effective in preventing nuclear use. Ignoring this is naive.

Again, you can’t “enhance your nuclear deterrence”. Nuclear deterrence isn’t an act you can do, it’s theory (or actually since it cannot be scientifically tested, it’s just a hypothesis) that hopes your actions will make your enemy act the way you want.
