I found a Shiny Magikarp. I changed to nighttime to make it disappear and back to daytime and it was still there.
I fast traveled away and back and it was still there.
I had my character knocked out and came back and it was still there.

Some people are seeing this and saying “I already have Shiny Minior so don’t need this” you aren’t realizing this works for EVERY POKEMON meaning Tandemaus, Flabebe, ZORUA AND DITTO! These hunts just got so much easier to do
Saw this happen on @REVERSALx7 stream yesterday and others have confirmed, but if you’ve completed the Pokédex and still see a “?” Outbreak, that is a form of a Pokémon you haven’t seen/caught yet!

This is a good reminder that it’s important to pay attention to what shinys people are posting about because with Gen 10 we won’t be able to easily see what is shiny locked.
Not a single person had reported finding a Shiny Mareep before doing the quest and it wasn’t a coincidence
I was asked about these Mareep in Wild Zone 1. Turns out they are shiny-locked until you complete the shiny Mareep side mission!
Catching the shiny Mareep isn't a requirement, so you could technically have all 3 shiny.
