the funny thing about this mirror question is that i suspect a significant number of people claiming its the most obvious thing in the world also believe that a mirror flips the image horizontally, which it doesnt
the light that is bouncing into your eyes has to come in from the same angle but from the other direction.
if you imagine that your eyes were at the bounce point on the mirror, and looking in the direction of the incoming light, what would you see?
