On a day like this one year ago, I had a rare video call with my uncle Marwan, aunt Haniya & their children, unknowing it was our last. Despite the pain, I want to remember how happy I was to finally see them after Israel had even made such calls with loved ones a luxury. RIP

I finally hugged my mum who managed to leave Gaza last Wednesday! But I can't describe to you the pain caused by the continued separation from my Dad, brother, sister-in-law and nieces who are displaced and surviving under constant bombing and no access to any means of survival!

This picture was shot in April 2023 when I reunited my dear dad after 5 years of forced separation. We enjoyed the most blissful daughter-dad bonding times. He returned to his beloved Gaza, his green land that he called "my heaven on earth" & his daily morning routine 🏊🏽 he loved

Heartbreaking news from my mum. She's alive but just survived death. I don't want to lose her. This pic is when I finally reunited with her at my sister Tamam's wedding last March in Brussels. She's the kindest mum, a nurse who spent 35 years serving #Gaza refugees' health needs.

After 65 days of terror, displacement and legendary steadfastness, my mum traveled from central Gaza to the South under Israel's raining bombs and made it out of Gaza yesterday safely! Her name was listed for evacuation 3 weeks ago but no one told us. It was difficult for her...

To all those who romanticised this man's posture & defiantly gaze, Hamza is killed. Stop romanticising us & remember Palestinian bodies have limits to enduring pain. Our pride & dignity in the face of all forms of dehumanisation doesn't save us from Israeli & Western made bombs.

My cousins just returned, sadly with no flour. They described to me is horrific scenes. They saw tanks firing at 100,000s of hungry ppl. Mothers are waiting in the streets in panic that their children were martyrs of bread. Unlike my cousins, their sons didn't return. Too much 💔
