The Black Ops Cold War Beta is quite an upgrade over the Alpha. I don't think anyone quite realizes what this team can do in a short amount of time. From new features to the core feel, nearly everything has taken leaps forward. My favorite part tho: the new lobby music kicks it

Damage Flinch has been redesigned in Black Ops Cold War. Flinch is now primarily a feedback mechanism to help you understand you’re taking damage, without affecting the aim position of your weapon. Your weapon will move with your screen to stay on target. No more flinch headshots

Early feedback on our Alpha has been great! I'm hearing about slide cancelling from the pros. Please know that just after this build was made, we fixed the slide cancelling abuse case that is being discussed. Beta will have appropriate slide cancel penalties, and oh so much more.

Wow, data says ALOT of you are playing the Black Ops Cold War Alpha. Thank you! This is truly an early Alpha build, with multiple structural improvements, tons of polish and features yet to come. It's an early peak of where we're going. We'll get to the final product together.

Bullet Penetration will be consistent per weapon in Black Ops Cold War. While past titles had Attachments like FMJ, we found these to be inconsistent and unreadable on the receiving end. It's solely class based: LMG's have more penetration than AR's which have more than SMG's.

The Black Ops Cold War Alpha will feature a limited set of content, but if it’s in the Alpha, you can use it from game 1. There are still a ton of Weapons, Attachments, Scorestreaks and more being saved for Beta, and even more for Launch after that. The Alpha is your appetizer.

Ok let's talk Sniping in Cold War. Crossplay is coming, but we knew it wouldn't be in Alpha. We buffed Snipers to evaluate their performance in this Alpha specifically. Sniper Rifles WILL have balance changes for the upcoming Beta based on our analytics data this weekend.

Happy 10 year birthday to the first DLC gun I had the pleasure to work on, PEACEKEEPER! Launching a post-ship gun back in 2013 was quite a thrill and even a new concept! Now it's expected consistently. What will we look back on 10 years from now that is not on the radar yet?
