    One of our crews hard at work on Christmas Eve to restore water for our customers. We have 48 breaks and leaks in Montgomery & Prince George’s counties tonight. We’re moving from one job to the next as quickly as possible plus we have additional contractors repairing breaks.

    The Boil Water Advisory issued by DC Water is NOT impacting WSSC Water customers. If you are a WSSC Water customer in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, your water is safe to consume and does NOT need to be boiled.

    Water main is shut down but crews continue to pump water out to allow for repairs to begin on the broken 16-inch water main. Traffic control remains on Rockville Pike at Cedar Lane in Bethesda.

    Despite the weather, crews worked through the night making progress at the site of the 54-inch diameter water main break at I-495 and 214 in southern Prince George’s County. The main focus- getting a temporary bridge in place to access the pipe.
