Yeah I've been sitting on this for a while, let's bring things to light. At Super Smash Con 2023, while working on the ApolloKage doc, Professor Kay and myself were hired by LG to help them with their content. They've still yet to pay us and actively lied in doing so. 🧵

Dude if I had an esports org, I’d hire this guy on the spot. Yeah, he’s a great player, one of the best in Ult’s lifespan, but playing up the smarmy cocky facade and giving interviews like this shows me he’s got one of the best minds for being on camera too. Someone hire him

I've tried to make it clear throughout this I have nothing but respect for Coney, he went as far as to pay us on the spot then and there. He's one of the nicest people I've ever filmed with and I don't want people thinking I'm trying to implicate him at all.

To this day LG has not paid. They lied to us, used our ideas, and wouldn't even pay a reduced amount despite agreeing to. The fact that they're still doing it now, to people more known and respected than us is appalling. It's no longer about the money, it's about the principle.

We're also struggling to get ahold of Coney at this time but finally run into him in person at LMMM and ask him about the payment. He tells us LG said they would cover the bill for him. They lied to both of us.

Initially, Kay and I were hired by Coney to help him with a shoot for $400 (That became this video, you can even see me near the end, youtu.be/I1VQ7A8WFGo?si…). LG also happened to be looking to film at SSC, which lead to Coney introducing us and locking a deal with them as well.
