Recently came across one of my first projects and remembered how challenging it was to light reflective metal without making it look flat The solution was placing a black planes around the object and hiding them from the render. So they adding various reflections without an HDRI

During the planning stage for the project, I realized that this palette naturally called for dramatic compositions. Strong contrast, deeper shadows, and bolder framing felt more fitting than something soft Sharing the references and storyboard that shaped the final animation 🍉

Simple personal project exploring soft body and liquid simulations. One thing I learned is that Soft Body often works better than Cloth for soft object interactions. It felt more natural, easier to control, and much faster to simulate, making iteration significantly easier.

This started as a caustics test in Blender. I wanted to try the Shaders Plus , and after a few experiments, I ended up with this short animation I’d definitely recommend SP if you want to add caustics to your renders. But be careful - any caustics adds a lot of render time

While working on my latest project, I found a faster way to create storyboards. I make a rough color-coded sketch, then use AI and explain what each color represents to turn it into a readable frame. Here's the storyboard from the lipstick project:
