In the name of not gatekeeping information, here’s the skincare routine printout I came across on my dermatology rotation. I wish I could give credit to the dermatologist who wrote it but I don’t know who it was!!
I had a med student once ask “will rounds always take so long?” after we finished at 11am. I truly hope they’re now thriving in the surgical subspecialty of their choice.
My dad (who was a fireman) thinks I shouldn’t tell strangers I’m a doctor when they ask my profession because they’ll up charge me for stuff. He instead suggested I say I work in “maintenance” as in I “maintain the patients in a hospital” 😂
Pretty wild to go from having to take the MCAT twice and barely getting into a Med school to graduating magna cum laude. I remember my self-doubt the night before my first day of classes. Honestly, proud of myself. #firstgen
I debating sharing this on here because I’m familiar with the data on how this can negatively impact women’s careers. But I share so much of this journey and I want to be transparent about all the aspects, and this is undoubtedly a big one! Baby Fitzgerald coming in October!!!
I can not wrap my head around the disconnect I see between people wanting better treatments and cures and simultaneously being so deeply anti-science….
