"While there’s plenty of internal grumbling and frustration voiced among Trump officials, those familiar with the situation describe a hush culture where the US government is reluctant to publicly admonish China and risk plunging the countries back into a trade war."

In hindsight all the efforts to create more diplomatic space for Taiwan by establishing a name for Taiwan's representative office in Lithuania that sounded more "official" than everywhere else in the EU were not successful and therefore not worth it.

@SrebrenicaMC Together with you, I am thinking today of the victims and those who mourn them. May their suffering be seen as a call to peaceful action, so that the younger generation never again has to experience such a crime against humanity and has the strength to prevent it.

I don't know who stands behind this account. But to mourn that "Zionists eliminated Adolf" speaks the language of extreme Nazi conviction. The fact that @OnlinePalEng sees no need to distance itself from that voice also says a lot about them! I just add: these haters won't win!

Deeds speak louder than words. China claims to uphold the multilateral international order, but if Beijing doesn't agree with what international law says, they just ignore their obligations. 10 years since the arbitral award which the Philippines won, prove that clearly.

#OpinionLine Ten years on, the 2016 "arbitral award" stands not as a clarifying milestone but as a politically motivated document that evaded the essential question of territorial sovereignty while issuing sweeping and erroneous conclusions on maritime entitlements. It has

Germany’s new laws to address this problem are pointless since they won’t be implemented. Look at the recent “de-risking”, instead of divesting in China, they cut German jobs and doubled down on investment there. “China has already eaten much of German industry’s lunch and is

Happy 250th birthday, U.S.A.! I first visited you 57 years ago. Saw your soaring optimism and your sharp internal contradictions. Admired magnificent urban architecture, beautiful nature and was shocked by desolate neighbourhoods, open racism and talk about "white trash". ...

... about this one very special descendant of a Kallstadt family! Today, you are on a different trajectory than 57 years ago. The "shining city on the hill" has lost a lot of its attraction while holding on to its belief in exceptionalism. Transatlantic bonds have weakened. ...

From today, the CCP thinks it has a legal basis to: ❌ Forcibly assimilate ethnic minorities. ❌ Criminalise dissent to protect “ethnic unity.” ❌ Target critics beyond its borders. Following the EP resolution initiated by IPAC members, here is IPAC's statement:
