Never thought I would be described in this way. Genius I'd reserve for him. I just like types.

He’s a genius. I may have designed a lot of the initial architecture, but he’s the one making things crazy fast and bulletproof. I am now the student of my own library.

Type level code is just another language to learn. If you're uncomfortable looking at it, you probably don't know it that well

I gave up giving up tanstack query. Every time I think I don't need it, I eventually do anyway. I'm skeptical of anything that could replace it for me

It's easier with how remix does things. It's simpler just to use cache headers when you're using a CDN

Yeah. I'd say it shouldn't be encouraged for app devs but for library authors it falls under the category of absorbing complexity for better DX if it helps type check speed imo

Is there something wrong with a conditional type instead?

Type checking speed. Maybe not all of them are needed but we certainly hit performance issues with a `Route` because they are recursive types. The variance worker takes time to work out variance in this case

Yes. I actually forgot them initially for this new feature and noticed immediately the regression on our large file based example. It wasn't insignificant. I can share some before/after later if you like

I still think those repulsed by advanced TS just haven't done it enough. It's a small and quirky functional language. The great thing is there aren't any side effects you have to worry about
