If you bet in IL, NY, PA, or VT get a load of this. DraftKings will be adding a SURCHARGE to be subtracted from YOUR net winnings to pay for THEIR TAX on gambling revenue. The money they make from losing bettors. Wow. Just wow.

Re: DraftKings surcharge will be passed on to customers. Will be implemented in the four states with above 20% tax starting Jan 1. Will be "fairly nominal" to the customer but creates potential EBITDA upside. Sounds like a bad idea. $DKNG

Hope you had a good NFL day - can I borrow your attention, real quick? In Saturday's Illinois St/Chicago St CBB game, Illinois St is up 75-67 when Josiah Strong is awarded two FT's. He makes both FT's. The score increments by ONE point. It is never corrected. Watch yourself:

A lot has been made about the favorites going 15-1 in the Round of 32, and 36-12 overall in the tournament. If you bet a flat $100 on every underdog moneyline (DK closing price) in the 48 games so far, you'd be down -$790.96 Whereas, if you bet a flat $100 on every favorite

This is not ideal. Seven sportsbooks are joining forces to exchange information about "problem gamblers." The obvious problem is they will also create the definition of what a "problem" is to them. One of them, Bet365, has a track record of using problem gambling as an excuse

What can I say about @SportsbkConsig? 😔 I attend a lot of industry conferences and at nearly every one I'd run into him at some point. With everyone else wearing the standard "Brooks Brothers uniform" of a blazer and oxford shirt - there was Dave. Flat-brim cap.
