A former Iranian policeman due to be deported to Rwanda tomorrow has been told by the Home Office that his ticket has been cancelled. He'd been sentenced to jail in Iran after he ordered his men not to use fire-arms to control nation-wide protests in November 2019.

@carolinehawley "Bahram" had fled to Turkey. After giving evidence remotely to an inquiry in London, his father in Iran was arrested and his 11-year old interrogated to find out his whereabouts. He no longer felt safe and escaped, getting on a boat that arrived in the UK in May

I've been told those still due to be expelled to Rwanda tonight are 2 Iraqi Kurds, 3 Iranians, 1 Albanian and 1 Vietnamese man. One of the Iraqi Kurds is said to be extremely distressed and on suicide watch in Brook House detention centre @followMFJ

2,000 days since she was arrested - a family separated for well over 5 YEARS. Nazanin's husband, Richard, and daughter Gabriella will mark the day with the family of Anoosheh Ashoori calling for government action. Last night, Iran again demanded the UK repay its £400 million debt

Last month we reported on Mustafa whose mum and dad were killed in a barrel bomb in Syria - which injured him so badly he spent a year in hospital. Happy to say that he and his sister and grandmother have now arrived to start a new life in Australia!

Richard Ratcliffe is "disappointed" that the embassy won't be accompanying Nazanin to tomorrow's court hearing in Tehran. Nazanin herself is - as you might imagine - extremely tense and nervous

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe celebrates a 6th birthday far from her London home. Richard and Gabriella can only see her on a phone screen. And anyone who's had to isolate this Xmas knows what a poor substitute that is for being with the people you love in the flesh
