A few weeks ago I played around with drawing on my iPad & just mirroring to a projector. Fascinated how even just this simple technique produced really fun results!!
Does anyone else use "~" to mean "around"? I only use it with other programmers/mathematicians but I want this to be more common.
e.g. "Let's meet ~10AM tomorrow."
"limit" is not the right word but it is true that your risk of pregnancy goes up about 6x depending on your weight above 165lbs
rate of pregnancy | weight
1.4% | 65 - 75kg (143.3 - 165.347)
6.4% | 75-85kg (165.347 - 187.393)
5.7% | >85kg (>187.393)

I'm obsessed with #HCI research that involves the Wii—yes, the 2006 Nintendo game console!
There are thousands of papers that used the Wii in novel, sometimes weird, research applications & I've been digging through a few of them so here's a thread!

How this came to be at @Dynamicland1:
- someone made a dial
- I made a rainbow
- someone made the dial control a rainbow
- I printed a couple more rainbows!!!
- Now there's a whole table of projections controlled by this little dial with googley eyes!!!!!
Yay social programming!
Holy shit
"What do you do when you cannot copy text between computers due to lack of internet connectivity? I built a modem using the Web Audio API, allowing data transfer via audio."
I’m so hyped by this being the first really substantive bookmark let I’ve seen in 3 years that I’m thinking of hosting (online or in NYC or both???) a “bookmarklets workshop”!
Basically they’re like Chrome extensions except anyone can write or execute them without permission!
I made an HTML/DOM viewer you can paste into your console to view or debug any website in 3D. Choose from random/gradient/clear colors or whether layers have sides.
You can save it as a bookmarklet so it's 1 click away. It's just a tiny IIFE JS function.

So excited to share this!
This week Glitch will be sharing a few WebVR experiments I made that highlight some interesting things you can do using immersive web technology! Works on mobile & desktop as well :)
Join virtual reality expert @acwervo for a week of experiments that will both teach and inspire you to create your own WebVR experiences!

JIDO-RHYTHM is such a cool use of #ARKit face tracking!! The face deformations are so smooth & the graphics are adorable (look at my face in this little house!!!)
Going through @mattdesl's brilliant "Advanced Creative Coding with WebGL & Shaders" Frontend Masters course & just wanted to call out that this little interactive explainer is a super clean illustration of how 2D/3D coordinate systems interact!

More variations on this theme of drawing on real-world objects (namely a pen & my hand)! I set up my iPad next to my notebook & put a projector above them.
