About a year ago, a small group of people who love Bitcoin randomly met in Hong Kong. After a few days of discussions, Ordinals Foundation, or as we call it “Foundinals” (foundation + ordinals), was formed. The vision behind this was simple: Help make Bitcoin FUN again.

The “Foundation” title brings with it a lot of controversy since it has the scent of “unlimited resources, free bitcoin, authority figures running it”. We are nothing like that. We are just a group of people who love building on Bitcoin because it’s fun.

With the taproot upgrade and the subsequent launch of Ordinals protocol, this was finally a reality. A year later, we would have never imagined the amount of developers, ideas, and opportunity we would see in such a short period of time.
