some personal news 🗞 i’m headed to charlotte to take on the banking and finance beat for @theobserver! in 2018, this newsroom gave me my first big break (19-year-old intern hannah pictured below) and showed me what it meant to be a great journalist. i’m thrilled to be back.
Very very excited to share that today is my first day as a personal finance reporter for @MarketWatch! I can’t wait to start writing about all the ways we earn, spend and manage our money. Send me tips, questions and midtown coffee shop recs at [email protected]!
professional news: It’s my first week at @WSJ! I’m joining the markets team here in NYC with a focus on retail investing and brokerages.
It’s an exciting time on the beat, and I'm excited to jump in. Reach out with tips, research or just to say hi at [email protected]
BREAKING: Carolina Housing reported two COVID-19 clusters today: one at Granville Towers and one at Ehringhaus Residence Hall.
This is a developing story - check back here soon for more details.
hi twitter! it’s been a while, but i have some personal news ☕️
i’m starting a remote internship with the @wsj economy team tomorrow!
it’s a wild time to be reporting on the economy — but i’m really excited to get started!
the way I YELPED when i saw this! this makes the library so much more accessible! Now everyone in Chapel Hill has more freedom in utilizing this wonderful building full of books and other resources! i'm so happy !
Have you heard the good news? Starting today the Library is fine free. We found that fines disproportionately affect low-income and traditionally marginalized populations. This policy change is one more way that we can put our values into action in Chapel Hill.
Wage gains for restaurant workers are outgaining those across the rest of the economy. As @EconChrisClarke notes, this is a kind of win that low-wage workers haven't seen for decades.
good morning twitter! It’s a new year, and I’ve got a (slightly) new beat at @theobserver. I’ll still be covering the banking world, but we’re expanding my beat to include economic equity in Charlotte.
