Big move for @NASAArtemis III! The left-hand aft assembly solid rocket booster segment for NASA’s Space Launch System arrived at the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center. This segment is part of one of two boosters that will provide more than 75% of the rocket’s

The 135th and final shuttle launch! 🚀 July 8 marks the 15th anniversary of the historic final launch of NASA's 30-year Space Shuttle Program. With its crew of 4 astronauts, Atlantis lifted off at 11:29 am to begin STS-135, its last journey to the International Space Station.
Space shuttle Atlantis and its four-member STS-135 crew head toward Earth orbit and rendezvous with the International Space Station. Liftoff was at 11:29 a.m. (EDT) on July 8, 2011 from Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The solid rocket boosters spew fiery exhaust as the shuttle ascends into the cloudy sky.

We're just getting started! American ingenuity is on full display as a first‑of‑its‑kind mission is now underway to meet, capture, and boost NASA’s Swift observatory before it slips too low in Earth orbit.
In this illustration, the LINK spacecraft from Katalyst Space attaches to NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory in preparation to gradually lift Swift back to its original altitude. LINK, a silver rectangular spacecraft with large blue solar arrays on either side, uses three robotic arms to attach to Swift, a gold spacecraft with shorter black solar arrays. Three blue thrusters fire at the bottom of LINK. Swift has a more cylindrical body with a rectangular projection at the front. The left half of the background is taken up by a view of Earth, and the blackness of space fills the right. This image is watermarked with “Artist’s concept” and “Credit: Katalyst Space.”
