I am shocked at the people tweeting negativity at @NESpower right now. Nashville just experienced a derecho, a historic storm like Memphis had in '03 where power was out for weeks. NES heroes will work incredibly hard in the coming days but it is going to take a while to fix.

In honor of Tennessee's outgoing US Senator @SenAlexander, here is a county map of his 6 general elections. This Tennessean is eternally grateful to him for his statesmanship and service.

Belatedly posting estimates of TN’s Presidential results by State House, State Senate, and US House districts. Precinct splits complicate calculations, but Rep. Gillespie (R) won a Harris-voting district, and Rep. Glynn (D)’s district (may have) narrowly supported Trump.

This statement is right on point. This mob didn't just try to obstruct our right to support the candidate of our choice by shouting down speakers, they literally started shouting during a moment of silence for the synagogue attack victims. Shame on them. #JobsNotMobs

Here’s a map of the 11/5 Presidential results in Nashville by precinct and council district. Harris won every council dist., with closest margins in D11 and D35 where she led by just under 4pts. Compared to '20, Trump gained 1.6K votes while Harris received 18K fewer than Biden.

Map of Hamilton Co. TN (Chattanooga) Presidential results by precinct. The county had a 3.3pt margin swing towards Trump '24, the smallest of the state's big-4 urban counties.

Earlier this month, fmr. State Sen. Roy Herron (D) passed away after an injury in a watercraft incident. After 5 terms in the State House and 4 terms in the Senate, the Weakley Co. native sought election to Congress in 2010, as mapped here. (1/2)

While nothing surprises me anymore, using today's tragedy to lob cheap and ridiculous attacks against Mayor @JohnCooper4Nash is pretty damn low.

The (apparent, based on Google traffic) path of this morning's tornado compared with 4/16/1998 and 3/14/1933 storms. All 3 went over the same part of East Nashville. @NashSevereWx
