I can imagine her conversation later that day.
"Hey, pretty cool: someone named Antony Hawk at testing today said they were directly related to Tony Hawk!"
"Tony? As in... short for Anthony?"
"Yeah. I asked b/c the name Hawk is...
...oh god.
Oh GOD I'm an idiot!!!" O_o
I will never get over how unique and iconic Capcom made Spider-Man’s idle pose in Marvel Super Heroes. Like if you ever see it as a silhouette, you know exactly what it is and how it looks once you’ve seen it once.
My soap box for the day:
When we get hype for this, remember that we are getting hype for *execution*. To get those air parries and follow-up combo takes practice, timing, and nerves of steel. It’s not enough to just predict it. It’s skill!
Execution belongs in fighting games.
Some of my favorite Fighting Game art will always be the characters in a casual environment, just hanging out. I don’t know why, but it just always gives me good vibes.
Someone once told me that their girlfriend — who didn’t care about Fighting Games at all — while watching him play online shocked him by saying, “You should Frame Trap more.” He said she only knew what a Frame Trap was thanks to my commentary. I was proud of that.
But recently…
I don’t play LoL, CS:GO, Hearthstone, Overwatch, Rocket League, etc. but I will never downplay the skill and talent and strategy required to play those games.
So if you think @SonicFox5000 doesn’t deserve to win Esports Player of the Year, you can suck my nuts asshole.
