Introducing ALKANES: a smart contract metaprotocol built on runes (via protorunes). dev.to/kungfuflex/alk… Mainnet activates block 880000. But we can build on regtest/signet today.

Very thoughtful analysis from community leaders -- The metashrew v9.0.0 release comes soon .. A major overhaul which brings truly high caliber integrity to the Alkanes data layer. More information will be available this week.

Of any DEX I played a role in architecting, this AMM project is notable, in that it is impossible software. This is one of many primitives which should appear which may fit this category, and it is only beginning.

At this stage, after a year of work, we have a complete suite of libraries for architecting and indexing derived protocols on Bitcoin L1 and implementations of ordinals and runes .. We maintain a protoc, search tables, and more, targeting a portable WASM executable build.

Working on final tests for @SUBFROSTio The end-state I am working toward, with Alkanes assets now tradeable via AMM, is for a diverse exchange of synthetic notes, backed by automated Bitcoin reserves. The primary asset in Alkanes, and BTCfi at large, will be Bitcoin synthetics.

First time for me looking at an alkane deploy on a mainnet explorer: mempool.space/tx/0d14e5d4923… This uses a CREATERESERVED opcode in the cellpack, packed in the familiar Runestone. The BIN prefix can be seen in the witness reveal (instead of ord)

For those who are falling victim to scams and disinformation I find it important to clarify: my involvement in the Alkanes metaprotocol and building/planning around DIESEL has not changed. My workstreams are always visible on GitHub, and less on social media.
