A single framebuffer with 4k resolution and full color is 32MB. There are 8 MILLION PIXELS which we expect app to draw. If you want double buffering to avoid visual noise when repainting that's 64MB

Yeah. The idea is that a private company can optimize bus service better than some city bureaucrats. Sounds plausible to me.

Well, you're a brain driving a human body to begin with. Different bodies are physically different, thus a brain needs to be able to adapt to drive whatever it needs to drive.

Fun fact: Teams doesn't integrate with Office installed on the computer. Back in 90s they developed a technology which can integrate anything into anything, but Teams team decided it's not worth the effort. People claim that the value of Microsoft products

Are you also mad that many apps use 💾 as a save button? The whole point of an icon is that people recognize it.

Why did you register your account on a server which identifies as "queer anarchist communist cyber pirate ship"?

Do you realize that uranium was mined from the ground? There's a lot of radioactive elements already in the ground. Returning them to the ground is a natural thing. Granite, the rock mountains are made of, is radioactive. Radioactivity is natural.

Linear programming is about optimization within constraints. If your constraints allow 100% peanut butter then that's what you get.

Isn't "we are early" another possible explanation? Like, the first civilization to appear has to find that "suppose we are typical" reasoning leads to weird and disturbing results, and that's what we see.

N^2 shouldn't be a problem if constant is low, Reminds me "Chrome is doing 25000 memory allocations for every key stroke" (and still works lol)

I'm not sure it's about caffeine, really. Coffee smells and tastes good and is warm. If I drink decaf instead of normal coffee I barely notice. Also, there are two more acceptable drugs: theobromine (cacao) and l-theanine (tea). In my experiene, theobromine is more addictive

I was never convinced they need 8000, but they have a lot more embarrassing bugs now, so I don't think Musk reorganization shows amazing results.

You can rent a server from Hetzner for about 40 euro a month. It comes with unlimited traffic and can serve millions of requests per day. Don't let yourself getting scammed by "cloud" "serverless" stuff.
