There’s a group of swim coaches online trying to decide whether or not Regan Smith should have been disqualified for saying a “bad word” after breaking the WORLD RECORD in the 100 backstroke. The conversation is MOSTLY leaning towards “yes” for a DQ. What. Are. We. Doing.

Virginia Tech swimmer Reka Gyorgy has released a full statement on the NCAA allowing Lia Thomas to compete in the 500 freestyle. She was 17th in the event. “Every event that transgender athletes participated in was one spot taken away from biological females throughout the meet”

Katie Ledecky just won the 1500m freestyle World Title by so much that she was the only person on camera when she touched the wall. Once again, Katie swimming so fast that she looks like she's the only one swimming. Greatest freestyler of all-time, no contest.

I don’t speak French, but Léon Marchand, and 17,000+ fans, taught me the National Anthem in Paris. What an unbelievable experience getting to watch an athlete like Léon perform to such an incredible level in his home country at the Olympic Games.
