Unreal conversion project here in Milwaukee. Old mall turned into apartments. Double loaded corridor with false “store fronts” to maintain the mall feel (Historic Tax Credit project) Haven’t seen anything like this.

I just bought a 99 year old, 16-story building in the heart of the city I grew up in, with plans to completely redevelop it. More to come; but look at this beauty😍😍😍

Pickle ball is a FAD and you can’t convince me otherwise. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun, but it’s fat people tennis with booze. Will be so many pickle ball entertainment companies bankrupt in ~5 years

What is my end goal? To be able to build housing & projects that don’t necessarily make sense financially at first, in order to provide for the greater good of cities across the US. We need hundreds of thousands more of these, in ALL neighborhoods.

Here is a fun story of what I am currently dealing with in Kansas City redevelopment; a beautiful short story: Kansas City: "We want & need more development in the urban core" Me: "Okay. I will do an $8M mixed-use redevelopment with 10k sqft of office, a rooftop bar & 8 lofts."

I’ve been in the Hamptons for 8 days now and I have 1 main question: Where are the apartments? Do they not exist? If not, why? Am I blind? I can imagine people would give up their kidney to rent a place here. Seems odd there are so few.

Key takeaways from NYC so far: - Less fat people. Every city should take notes. Walkable cities create healthier people. - Smells like cigs 95% of the time - How do they build these high rises/ infill? Mind boggling to my KC brain - Expensive as a whole, but nothing beats $2

Excuse my language for a second: I don’t give a flying fuck if you agreed with Charlie’s political beliefs. A man was shot and killed, leaving behind a wife and 2 young children. For why?? For speaking his mind & sharing his beliefs. We have to be better. This is fucked.
