No opinion on Critikal, but most people don't know how bad Dub Luffy is. It's a completely different character. The VA portrays Luffy as a generic airheaded teen who's just rude and stupid, not capturing Luffy's charm, humor, and emotional intelligence. I also found it unlikable.

This is the single most ambitious backstory Oda has ever done. It's the first time he's writing not just a snippet of a sad childhood, but a full sweeping tragedy of a man's life from birth to death. Way more layering of ideas and individual tragic storylines going into this one.

Lot of people saying "Rocks isn't even a villain". He is. Anyone who's goal is to be king of the world is automatically a villain. Rocks is just so damn charismatic that readers love him despite his selfish goals, and that's EXACTLY what makes a phenomenal villain.

IF This is the case it's awful though. I see people saying it's not a big deal, but that just reflects how we've become used to Oda not giving a shit about certain straw hats. In comparison, if we had found out via vivre card that Trebol was Zoros father people would be furious

Rayleigh being the only man unaffected by Shakky's beauty is crazy since Rayleigh isn't borderline asexual like Luffy/Zoro. Literally one of his main traits is how much he loves women, he just doesnt turn into an idiot around them which is apparently the rarest ability in OP

I really cant see the BB pirates being the final villains at this point. The final saga keeps building up the WG side as absurdly stacked, with reveals of Seraphim, Gorosei zoans, God's Knights, on top of Admirals/CP0, whereas BB pirates are shown getting fodderized every week
