A drug racket that was supplying curated marijuana (buds) from Delhi to Mumbai was busted by NCB. About 3.5kg of buds that cost around Rs 5,000 per gram were recovered during the raids in Delhi & Mumbai. The drugs were seized from foreign post offices.
7 people were arrested after NCB busted an international unit involved in heroine trafficking. Around 2 kg of heroine was seized, which is linked to an approximate total 12 kg of drugs worth Rs.48 crore in international market. 2 parcels of unknown quantity have been traced live.
NCB arrested a total of 17 people in connection with the seizure of 2,795 kgs of cannabis from three different places in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. In one of the operations, the contraband was concealed in an oil tanker.
It was found that the drugs were sourced from Canada or USA and were finally destined to Goa from Mumbai. The suppliers were in contact with Bollywood celebrities.
