The next big vertical SaaS companies are probably already sitting inside family businesses. The daughter of a farmer. The son of a restaurant owner. The barber who knows every bad booking flow. AI gives them a way to turn that knowledge into software.

A repo you can't deploy in an afternoon is not really open-source software. It's source-available homework.

Openfront Real Estate is the listings page on the surface, but the real product is the workflow behind it. Lead capture, showings, agent handoffs, brokerage ops. The public website is the easy part.

For restaurants, open-source marketplace rails start to look like an open-source DoorDash. For grocery, an open-source Instacart. For ecommerce, an open-source Amazon-style network.

Openfront Barbershop is small-business software with real operational detail. Chairs, walk-ins, who's up next, the no-show that just messed up your afternoon. Generic booking tools skip all of it.
