My elderly father went to an eye surgeon and was told no dates were available for surgery unless he paid for a lens upgrade, then he got the surgery in just a few weeks. That's not how Canadian healthcare should work. #NeverVoteConservative

My mother (with dementia) was sexually assaulted in an Ontario LTC care home last week. The man had her pants off and was caught naked on top of her. That’s the second time in a year. There’s nothing we can do to fix this until we #VoteFordOut.

Teachers, for your own protection: if you have video chats with your students, always record them and store a copy on your school's network. If you plan on having a lot of video chats, come with a suitable way of cataloguing them.

I've been retired for 21 months and just received a comment from an ex-student via an old Google Sheet assignment, hoping I'm doing well and telling me I was his favourite teacher. The rewards don't come often but when they do they make teaching the best career in the world.

Not true at all. The healthcare system here in Ontario needs lots of changes, but privatization will only exacerbate the problems we are having.
