We are heartbroken to share that we have said goodbye to our beautiful snow leopard, Maya. At 16 years old, she was one of the oldest of her species in any U.S. zoo. 1/5

Snow leopard Maya says: 🐾 🐾 🐾! Her keepers say this is her playful way to say hello. 😊 Snow leopards have extra-large front paws that are about two to three times wider than an average hand. These giant paws help keep them from sinking into the snow!

Although gorillas occasionally walk on two legs (bipedal), it is less common. Not for Louis though - he can often be seen walking bipedal when his hands are full of snack or when the ground is muddy (so he doesn't get his hands dirty)!
