Barry’s head sunk down, compressing down. Many greats did this. His head barely moved forward toward the pitcher. A big reason to his success.

A great swing & mechanics doesn’t make a great hitter- stellar approach does. Hitting has been mediocre due to a poor approach. Too many players taking fastballs early, and don’t have the intention of going to the opposite gap. It’s the mindset that separates the AVG & the great

The ball you hit doesn't know 3 things.. -How big you are -How old you are -Which bathroom you use Nature only works in certain ways, There is no "softball swing". Jessica showed us this w/ the impressive season she put up at @FSU_Softball Her stance/swing was like many greats!

This is what practicing with purpose looks like… Anyone can pull the ball over the fence… Focusing on driving the ball the other way exposes more bat surface and enables a better lag with the bat, it sets an optimal bat angle. Practice makes Progress

I learned this technique over 20 years ago from Reggie Smith that Albert discovered. Too many false teachings, the back elbow should come down first before the hands. Sadaharu Oh taught Reggie in 1982 to bring your elbow to your belly button- This has helped so many players.

Chris Young told me in Jan of 2015 right before he signed w/ KC to win the WS that some day he’d be a GM & would blow away the nerds changing the game. Well, here we are 8 years later. What an amazing culture he’s built in Texas. This is what baseball is all about. Congrats!
